Sony Ericsson Motion Activated MH907: The New “Smart Phones”

You’re busy, I’m busy – we’re all busy people. We’ve got places to be and we want to take the route on our terms. Some might argue life isn’t worth living if it doesn’t allow for a personalized soundtrack, yet some still view public headphone use a modern faux pas. When was the last time you wished you could easily and safely soundtrack your weekly food shopping excursion without looking like a complete ignoramus at the checkout counter?
Enter the new Sony Ericson Motion Activated MH907 headphones, priced at $57. The concept is easy: put in two buds and your music will start instantly; take out one to respond to a call or interact with someone in the real world, the player pauses and resumes when you place the bud back in. Hypothetically, you could shuffle your music as infinitely as battery life would allow, while still being able to appropriately deal with any interruptions without any need of a ‘play’ or ‘pause’ button.
The only downside? It’s only compatible with Sony’s “fast port” connector. If this technology were matched with the new Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic, then we’d really be talking.
