Of course “there’s an app for that,” but now it’s becoming increasingly common that there’s “a remote for that.” And by that, I mean everything.

Take this week alone: first we reported about the remote controlled power strip, then there was the remote control toilet, followed by the remote controlled wizard adventure.

And so we close the week with (drumroll, please) the remote controlled fish tank. Designed for the iPhone/iPod (and Mac/PC desktop), the TankedCam app allows you to turn your  Atlantis into an aquatic home automation paradise.

According to the website, you can “interactively control a camera position, monitor water pH and temperature levels, control tank aeration, maybe open and close an aquarium ornament. You can even remotely feed your fish.” Test drive the technology with the TankedCam’s flash demo.

The video below demonstrates how using ioBridge Modules to monitor and control the tank and WaveJam Technologies internet video streaming will make you King of Fishtopia.

If ever fish believed in God, now would be the time.
